Bubble – Best of 2018

Bubble, the original audio series I directed for Maximum Fun, is receiving a number of year-end honors. Apple named the show one of the Best of 2018, and The Atlantic, Rolling Stone, Vulture, IndieWire, and The Verge all agree!

Congrats to our cast, as well as Jesse Thorn and the whole Maximum Fun team, especially series creator Jordan Morris! Listen here: https://www.maximumfun.org/shows/bubble

Bad Reception – An Improvised Audible Original

Bad Reception – An Improvised Comedy in 13 Acts, is now available as an Audible Original!

The show features a cast of over 40 incredible improvisers, including Paul F. Tompkins (BoJack Horseman), D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place), Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live), and Lauren Lapkus (Jurassic World).

Justin Michael and I co-created this epic tale of South Grampers, Northern California, the Movie Theater Butter Capital of America. The town decides to throw an epic film festival to escape their crushing debt, but one decision after another leads to a conflagration known as… The Incident.

And check out this great review in the AV Club as well!

And here’s a group shot from our recent premiere party in Los Angeles.

Bubble / Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend

Recently I had the honor of voice directing an incredible cast of 60 performers for Jordan Morris’ new scripted audio sitcom series Bubble, produced for Maximum Fun. I also got to play a role in the pilot.

We just debuted as the top-rated new podcast in all categories on Apple Podcasts, and are still climbing the charts! The other 7 episodes will be airing in the weeks ahead.

Jordan and I also went on the delightful Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend podcast, and had a blast talking about Bubble, audiobooks, nose spray, and great customer service, among other things. Alison has a great show, and it’s a lot of fun!

Audiobook of the Year / Chicago Tribune

Honored to be part of the cast of George Saunders’ Lincoln in the Bardo. We just won Audiobook of the Year at the Audie Awards in New York City! Congrats to all my fellow cast members, and to Penguin Random House and Kelly Gildea, who brilliantly brought together an absolutely epic cast.

Here’s a picture with one of my co-stars right after the awards show.

Lincoln and the Bardo AND our production of Stinker Lets Loose! just got a rave review in my hometown paper the Chicago Tribune.
